Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival set to return in 2020

The 2020 Okeechobee Music & Arts festival is scheduled to take place March 5-8 at its longtime home, Sunshine Grove, located in Okeechobee County. (Both the festival and the county are named for the lake located south of the county.) Tickets for the festival will go on sale August 23.


Infinity Festival Brings Filmmakers and Industry Innovators to Hollywood

November 7-9, the Infinity Festival will kick off its second year presenting the cutting-edge technology available for the advancement of storytelling in Hollywood. Like its inaugural year, the conference event — guided by more than 80 industry advisors — will feature informative panel discussions lead by top innovators and industry heads like Rob Legato — know as the visual effects supervisor on films such as “The Lion King” and the upcoming “The Irishman” — of Warner Media Innovation Lab and Transform Group CEO and Blockchain Thought Leader, Michael Terpin.


Chicago Women’s Funny Festival brings its first all-Spanish speaking set to the stage

“We started thinking just how difficult performing comedy already is, and how these women are actually doing it all in a second language,” she said. “Spanish is the second most spoken language in Chicago. We hope (the set) not only brings in new audiences to the festival, but also encourages folks that speak or are learning to speak Spanish, to also take in the performance.”

Live music, a balloon glow and fireworks kicks off the free festival on Friday evening. Other highlights of the weekend: three balloon launches, more music, a car show, hundreds of craft vendors, and food booths and trucks, and private balloon rides. Expect a crowd.
