New Industry Report Uncovers Most Valuable Music Festival Fans

A recent survey, conducted by industry leader Eventbrite of over 1,000 music festival attendees from across North America found that festival goers that attend 5-6 festivals annually, spend 78% more on a festival ticket than those attending fewer festivals.

A recent survey, conducted by industry leader Eventbrite of over 1,000 music festival attendees from across North America found that festival goers that attend 5-6 festivals annually, spend 78% more on a festival ticket than those attending fewer festivals. The report categorizes festival goers into three groups: the harcore festie attending 5-6 festivals annually, the moderate festie attending 2-3 annually and the casual festie attending 1 festival annually. The report details new insight into who the most valuable music festival fans actually are.  

For example, a casual festie who only attends one festival annually, spent an average of $117 on a ticket compared to $208 for a Hardcore Festie. The favorite genres of the harcore festie include alternative/modern rock, classic rock and pop with 70% of them engaging sponsors for free food and drinks at the festival. Additional insights show that harcore festies are more engaged with technology, spend more on all aspects of a festival and are keen to purchase VIP tickets.
