At the intersection of the vibrant, thriving live event space and the festival community lies XLIVE, the preeminent, multifaceted industry conference for innovators, event producers and creatives. With plans to return to Mandalay Bay this December 9-12, 2018, XLIVE unveils its latest round of programming which includes additional Keynote speakers and a new series of expertly-curated Labs—immersive workshops designed to dive deep into budding industry trends and the future of live events.
Renowned for its comprehensive roster of influential keynotes each year, XLIVE rounds out 2018 with the additions of OMF co-founder Justin “3LAU” Blau and TAG Strategic managing partner Ted Cohen. Blau and Cohen join IMG Live president Bryan Icenhower and MAC Presents CEO Marcie Allen who will share their stories, strategies and insights with the diverse XLIVE community. Attendees can also look forward to an intimate fireside chat with Elrow’s CEO and President Juan Arnau and Vicenc Marti.
Highlighting everything from music and food/beverage festivals to tech, brands, sports, eSports and beyond, XLIVE offers an intimate forum for attendees to discuss current topics and live event operations alongside some of the most inspiring names in the business.
Setting the standard for conferences of its type, XLIVE’s all-encompassing programming hits music, live sports, food and beverage, technology, eSports, experiential activations and brand tracks, in addition to offering attendees singular access to focus on specific elements of live events via their newly added Labs Workshop Series. Designed to connect attendees direct with experts, the Labs will grant deeper insight into the worlds of Esports, Cannabis, Brand Activations, Fan Expos, Event Technology, Production & Design, Merger & Acquisitions and CVB & Destination City and how to integrate industry trends into a successful event.
- Esports Lab at XLIVE features speakers such as E-Colosseum co-founder and CEO Rustin Sotodeh, StarBeast co-founder and CEO Nick Losq, Super League Gaming CEO Ann Hand, Gankstars CEO Alex Novosad, G2 Esports founder and owner Carlos Rodriguez, Metta Sport founder David Smith, Greenlit Media co-founder John Gaudiosi, HyperX Corporate Marketing director Dan Kelley, and Ultimate Media Ventures president Chris Mann. Together, the panel will bring to light some of the most unique characteristics of the burgeoning Esports industry.
- Cannabis Lab at XLIVE breaks down the keys to operating a festival that encourages safe usage featuring cannabis experts Heavy Grass CEO Clay Busch, National Cannabis Festival founder and executive director Caroline Phillips, Merry Jane VP of marketing and business development Jim Baudino, and Sound Skilz CEO Steve Clayton. With new laws, permits and protocols in place, this panel will help unravel the complications that cannabis at live events may entail.
- Event Tech + Live Event Data and Analytics Lab at XLIVE Presented by Umbel | MVP Index, features case studies, interactive roundtable discussions and informative panels that will emphasize the importance and power of live event data and analytic assets in the festival and event space—speakers announced soon!
- Production + Design Lab at XLIVE From LED dancefloors to holograms and music, this lab is integral for anyone involved in the festival production industry. First announced is Mode Studios chief creative officer Bob Bonniol who, along with a panel of production and design experts such as James Klein SVP of Live Production of George P. Johnson and Lightswitch’s Principal John Featherstone, will share the truly immersive and transformational abilities of top notch production.
